Highlights of Craft with Hope 2019
Craft with Hope was held at Star Vista on 22nd June 2019. It was OHF’s first workshop-themed fundraising event, where we partnered with local crafters to conduct workshops for participants to do good for charity and take a breather to learn a new skill on a Saturday!
The event saw over 40 participants across 3 workshops. The workshops at Craft with Hope included a leather crafting workshop with Maketh Project, brush lettering workshop with Dorjeh and clay earrings workshop with Handsonklay. Partial proceeds from the workshops were channelled to fund our community development projects in Cambodia and Nepal for the poorest of the poor communities. We were delighted to see the participants enjoying themselves at the workshops, spending time with their loved ones, making new friends, and learning a new skill. The handcrafted artwork was theirs to bring home.

Besides the workshops, an unguided art jamming session was open for children and adults to unleash their creativity by painting on a blank canvas. It was a good bonding session for children and parents as the parents guided their children to achieve different colours, shapes, and objects in their artwork.
There was something for shopaholics as well! Brand new apparels were displayed and browsed by shoppers. 100% of proceeds sold from the apparels count as donations to OHF to run poverty-defeating programmes Cambodia and Nepal.
At the event, we shared profiles of children in need of support. There are many kids without a child sponsor. If you would like to transform a child’s life and be a child sponsor, check out https://ohf.org.sg/ohf-child/ or contact us directly at admin@ohf.org.sg!
We would like to give our heartfelt thanks to the following sponsors and event partners who gave their generous support towards the Craft with Hope event.
