Make Impossible Dreams come True

20 years and counting

A vision is a dream made real through years of effort and sacrifice.
Mr. Robert Kee started OHF in 2001 with a big dream and a zealous heart to help the poor. In 2002, he launched its first major project, an 80,000 sq feet children home in the province of Prey Veng, Cambodia. Prior to 2001, Mr Robert Kee had been involved with the Methodist Mission Society and help established COSI Children Village.

A few years later, OHF further expanded to include projects in Nepal. Over the past decades, OHF work has grown to include children homes, building “rice bag” houses in Nepal, community developing projects such as building houses, wells and toilets for the poor in the province of Prey Veng, Cambodia, livelihood projects, skill training, and many more. The projects in Cambodia grew with increasing demand and our team now has over 35 Khmer staff helping with the projects in Cambodia.

In Nepal a new children home in Pokhara has been completed that will enable us to admit more children. In 2015, we responded to the devastating Nepal earthquake by building 150 rice bag houses for the poor villagers affected. These houses were built using empty rice bags filled earth and stacked upon each other to form the walls of the house, then held together with barbed wire. They are easily customisable and can be added upon. Using rice bags replaces the need to carry thousands of bricks up the mountain where there are no road access.

OHF is not just a grant giver but carries out its projects with its own staff and volunteers. Mr. Robert Kee and team are often there on the grounds supervising the projects in remote areas like the villages in Prey Veng or in Bhojpur and Duseni in Nepal. This video is a simple tribute to all the work done over the decades by OHF.

Help and support our dream to make hope real for the poor who lived in “sheds” with no toilet, whose children lacked the skills for a good job and whose life is a daily struggle.
