Nepal Diaries
by Christina Tan
Every January during this period, our children have a week’s school vacation. They always look forward to the school break and to do something different.
In preparation for the vacation, we set our priorities and work to make the best use of time. The house parent, a few of the older children and I discussed a five-day programme to do various things with the children. We appointed the older children as leaders to lead in various activities. We held classes for learning English, guitar playing, art and crafts, sewing, reading, computer typing, games, baking and cooking.

Everything went as planned and everyone had a good time of fruitful learning and fun altogether.
It is always good to see cooperation and a communal effort to make the 5-day programme a success.
