Family background

Sreynin is a 10-year-old girl studying in grade 4. Her father is a rice farmer which he rent the field in the village and her mother sells Khmer cake. Her father’s farm does not produce enough rice, so his parents need to spend 130000riel = S$43.83 every month just to buy rice for the family. Sreynin and her brother got their uniforms donated from their relatives. Because they are poor, they receive government support of 74000riel = S$25 a month
