Family background

Ern Sovanareach is a 12-year-old boy studying in grade 6. His father is a hawker selling stationary on a motorbike earning around US$100 a month and his other is a factory worker in Phnom Penh earning US$200 a month. They have a monthly loan to repay to purchase a motor bike so that his father can use it to sell stationary. Ern Sovanareach is taken care of by his grandparents. Because they are poor, they receive government support off 74000riels (S$23) a month
