Soeurn Borey is a 7 year old girl studying in grade 2. Her father passed away and her mother a widow will try all means to earn money to support her 3 children. She will make Khmer cake to sell, do any odd jobs available in the village, find rice dropped from rice field or buy 5000riels (S$1.66) rice a day to feed family. Because they are poor, the receive government support of 150000riel (S$49.86) a month. The house they are staying is not safe and can collapse anytime so the family are staying with her grandparents.
