Mao Thida is a 11-year-old girl studying in grade 6 whereby her mother passed away and her father remarried with his own family. She is staying with her grandmother who is earning 300000riels =S$90 a month but her father sends back 50000riels = S$15 a month to support her. Sometimes Mao Thida when back from school will try to find job in the village to support the family. Because they are poor, they receive government support of 54000riels = S$16.20 a month.
